FORT MYERS, Fla. — An elementary school student was hospitalized Friday morning after being hit by a car near Luckett Road.
According to the Lee County School District, the child was waiting at a bus stop when the collision happened around 8 a.m.
The student was transported to a hospital out of caution.
The driver remained on scene after the crash, according to Fort Myers Police Department.
The scene is now cleared.
