CAPE CORAL, Fla. — Cape Coral Police Department (CCPD) released more information about a fatal crash on Skyline Boulevard and SW 8th Terrace on Friday.
According to CCPD a vehicle driven by Mallelin Rodriquez was on SW 8th Terrace and pulled out in front of a car driven by Yudeysi Moreno-Blanco on Skyline Boulevard.
The two vehicles collided and one overturned and came to rest on its left side and struck a concrete street light pole.
Officers say Moreno-Blanco died from injuries in the crash and another passenger was taken to the hospital.
Rodriguez suffered non-life-threatening injuries and another passenger was not hurt.
CCPD says speed was not a factor in the crash and if you witnessed the crash or have information you should contact Cape Coral Police Department at 239-574-3223.
