FORT MYERS | Police searching for vehicle that intentionally crashed into Family Dollar

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — The Fort Myers Police Department (FMPD) is searching for a suspect they say intentionally crashed a vehicle into a business, then stole two safes from inside.

According to FMPD, the driver of a dark blue Chevrolet pickup crashed into the Family Dollar on Cleveland Ave. around 5:26 a.m. Tuesday. The suspect then fled the scene before officers arrived.

Police say the pickup will have damage to its rear end.
