FORT MYERS, Fla. — The Fort Myers Police Department says a man has been shot at the Bernwood Trace Apartments. The shooting happened off of Bernwood Place Drive near Six Miles Cypress Parkway and Winkler Avenue.
A Fort Myers Police spokesperson says one person is in custody, though it's not clear if they are the shooter. They have been cooperative with the investigation.
The victim was taken to Gulf Coast Hospital and remains in stable condition as of Friday evening.
FMPD said this is an isolated incident with no threat to the public.
