LEE COUNTY, Fla. — The Lee County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) arrested a 13-year-old boy Friday for a bomb threat at the Alva School.
According to deputies, the boy made the threat on Snapchat Friday morning. It's not clear who reported it, but deputies say they tracked down the boy in about an hour.
The boy is charged with false report of concerning the planting of a bomb. LCSO says the threat was not credible.
However, out of an abundance of caution, they swept the entire campus Friday morning and found nothing of concern.
