LEE COUNTY, Fla. — Lee Health has confirmed that they have had 9 carbon monoxide related deaths since Hurricane Ian. They have also had several more patients, both adults and children, come into emergency departments with carbon monoxide poisoning.
Lee Health advises "take necessary precautions when using a generator as they are one of the leading causes of injury and death following a storm."
