LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- A Lehigh Acres man is alive and speaking out after he was shot in the head in the middle of the night while he was sleeping.

He says he was simply lying in bed when someone opened fire on his bedroom, with one of the bullets grazing him on the side of his head.

He says it happened around 3 a.m. along 32nd Street SW just off State Road 82 and Sunshine Boulevard.

“Wake up, got shot! I don't do anything with nobody.  I don't harm nobody. I'm a clean guy. Go to work take care of my family.”  But on this morning Gregory St. Fleur wouldn't be heading to work, and it was his family who took care of him.

Blood still stains his pillow and bed sheets.  His wife Fabian was getting a glass of water when she noticed a suspicious car outside around 3 a.m.  Once she made it back to the bedroom, things took a turn for the worst.

“And I hear ‘booooom.’  And my husband say I got shot.  I got shot. Call 911,” says Fabian.

She called 911 and her husband was rushed to the hospital.

Now she thinks she knows who fired the shots and is saddened by what could have happened to her family.   “I know you have something with my husband, but my kids could be hurt. They was in the bed too, and me too. You didn't think about me when you did that?  I sleep in the bed, too.”

While it’s an emotional time for this family they're thankful everyone made it out alive.

The family says they don't feel safe staying inside the home. Now the Lee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
