UPDATE -- The School District of Lee County confirms that the lockdown at Sunshine Elementary has been lifted. It lasted about 30 minutes.

LEE COUNTY, Fla. – We’re hearing reports that Sunshine Elementary School was placed on a partial lockdown Thursday morning.
The Lee County School District just confirmed to Fox 4 that this is because of law enforcement activity in the area.
The school is just off Lee Boulevard near Sunshine Boulevard.
We're told law enforcement is escorting students on campus as they arrive.
As soon as we get an update on the situation, we'll be sure to bring that to you.
