LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. — Lehigh Acres Fire and Rescue say first responders worked to contain a fire at Quality Inn on Sunday.

Firefighters say they were able to contain the fire to one room on the second floor. Officials say people were sleeping in the room and awoke to smoke. First responders say, thankfully, no one was injured.
Fire inspectors believe the source of the fire was the HVAC unit. Officials say the hotel will try to open their top floor for the night.
