LEHIGH ACRES, FLA — LEHIGH ACRES, FLA — A Lehigh Acres woman says she's panicking because she can't get in contact with her doctor, Francis Harrington.
"A couple of days ago I heard on the TV that Dr. Fritz Harrington and Dr. Jane Harrington had lost their license," said Cynthia Aurelio.
We did a search for Francis, who goes by Fritz , and his wife Jane.
The pair own a practice in Naples, and according to the Florida Department of Health, their licenses are delinquent.
"I'm not here to judge them because he was phenomenal. I've seen his wife maybe one time, but doctor Fritz Harrington was a very caring and loving doctor," said Aurelio.
According to health department documents, this all stems from a 2015 DEA investigation.
It found that Dr. Francis Harrington was using his wife's information to prescribe controlled substances to patients.
And sometimes, his wife would go back and sign the prescriptions after the drugs had already been given out.
We also went by the office and found a note on the door that listed a change in the hours for a week in late January and one in early February.
"I just want my full file," said Aurelio.
Aurelio says she's been seeing Dr. Francis Harrington as her primary, for the last 15 years.
And she says with her heart condition, she's desperate to get her hands on those records, so she can move on and find a new doctor.
"Throughout the years I gave him a lot of medical documentation, I had everything sent to him. The stuff I gave him, I lost through the moves, having three moves, I lost the medical records," said Aurelio.
