LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. -- Three homes in Lehigh were targeted by burglars, who smashed through windows and cut through screen doors.
The incidents happened Monday at homes on Parkside Street, 21st Street Southwest, and Louisville Street East. On 21st Street Southwest, damage was visible on the patio, where screens were sliced.
On Louisville Street, homeowners called police after discovering a broken window. Family members found a brick on the floor, which they believe was used in the act. "The most surprising thing when we came was that the TV was still there," said a family member.
The incidents are still under investigation.
