Paul Caricato recently made some upgrades to his restaurant, Two Meatballs in the Kitchen. Just like any business owner, he wants to make sure that his business is safe for both his customers and his staff.

"Everything that could possibly by done proactively is done proactively", he told Four In Your Corner.

The restaurant is located just off Daniels Parkway, and get's it's fair share of traffic. This means Caricato does everything he can to make sure everyone in the building is safe.

"At night, people don't walk outside by themselves. they walk in groups of one or two at least", he said.

He's had the precautions in place since opening the restaurant, but lately they're proving necessary. They've been two shootings in the area over the past week.

The first shooting was at the Lion Hookah Lounge that resulted in one woman being injured. The second took place at the McDonald's on Indian Paint Lane. One person died on scene and two other people were taken to the hospital.

It;s something Caricato is mindful of, but not completely worried about. He's got new locks on the doors and a new safe. There's also camera's all over the inside and outside of the restaurant,
