Supermarket employee arrested for establishing a gambling place Lehigh Acres

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. — A local supermarket employee is under arrest for having an established gambling place.

The Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco issued an official notice to the El Paso Supermarket located in Lehigh Acres.

FDABT notified the employee that paying out the slot machines violated the Florida State Statute.

Four separate times an undercover investigator entered the store to play the slot machine. Each time the agent inserted $20.00.

Four different times the agent won some money and went to the employee and asked her to print the ticket out.

Each time the employee printed out the ticket and gave the undercover investigator money.

On June 7th, investigators served a search warrant to the supermarket, and Estrada was placed under arrest.

Eliva Estrada, 33 was charged with Establishing a Gambling Place (keep house for) Gambling (or games chance) , Gambling (own store possession of slot machine 1st off)
and Gambling (own store possession of slot machine 1st off).

She was transported to the Lee County Jail.
