American Military Veteran's Foundation partnered with a Cape Coral resident and collected hundreds of supplies to take to Texas and distribute locally for all flooding victims.
The group filled up two trailers at the 7-11 off Cape Coral Parkway with clothes, shoes, tools, water and even toys.
The man behind the idea, Andrew Wilson, says they leave for Texas Monday.
"We leave Monday and I'm staying until I'm out of resources," Wilson said. "Even once I donate everything I have, I'm going to be cutting trees and helping with the devastation ."
Wilson is from Texas and says he has many friends who are thankful for all the help they can get.
They'll be collecting items through tomorrow night. Just drop it off inside the 7-11 with a note who it's for.
