FORT MYERS, Fla. - The National Transportation and Safety Board has determined the cause of a plane crash last year in Fort Myers.
The plane's engine lost power, according to the final report from the NTSB.
The crash happened June 24, 2017 when pilot Anthony Greco tried to make an emergency landing shortly after taking off. His wing reportedly hit a tree and then the side of the building.
Greco said he conducted a normal preflight inspection and found no issues.
He was injured in the crash, and his passenger - Marc Scott - was killed. Scott's cause of death was listed as blunt force trauma.
