CAPE CORAL, Fla. — Family and friends of Kaleigh Mousseau want justice for the teen whose body was found in North Cape Coral Friday morning.

A neighbor living near Durden Parkway E and NE 10th Ct who found Mousseau body was wrapped in a sheet with tape around it.

Her dad Eugene Hrebin said he hopes Cape Coral Police Department makes an arrest soon.

“Somebody should be responsible. I mean they didn't only take from me and everybody else. But they took from her. Every chance she had is gone,” he said.

He described his daughter as his best friend.

“She wasn’t scared to get dirty. But at the same time, you know, she would help me with the cars. And I had no problem sitting at the nail salon while she got her nails done, and I got a really bad headache,” he laughed.

He joked about the little moments he now misses with his 19-year-old.

“Like at the age of 8, 9, 10, she could change a car tire,” he said.

Tanya Romano brought flowers and balloons Monday to the area where Mousseau was found.

“This situation as it is wasn’t her life. She was a bright star. She walked into a room and you just remembered her,” she said.

Romano said she helped raise Mousseau here in Southwest Florida while her parents lived in Pennsylvania.

“She deserved better. I tried my best to do what her mom wanted, and give her the tools. Whatever I could do,” she said.

Now she’s raising money on gofundme to help bring Mousseau’s parents to Cape Coral and to cover her funeral.

Mousseau’s mom told Fox 4 she’s was a fun, loving, happy girl, and she loved everybody.

She said her 13-year-old brother Layman is taking her death pretty hard.

Mousseau’s friends are now posting #justiceforkaleigh as a push for CCPD to make an arrest in what they’re calling a suspicious death investigation.

Southwest Florida crime stoppers is offering up to a $3,000 reward for any tips that could lead to an arrest.
