LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. — Sheriff Carmine Marceno said a 21-year-old violent suspect was arrested, three others are being held, and others could be involved after deputies converged on multiple crime scenes on Wednesday.

The sheriff confirmed it started with a home invasion in the 4800 block of 28th Street Southwest. He said at the same time a robbery happened and the suspect pistol-whipped multiple victims at a construction site.

K9 units were tracking both trails when a driver called police while following the suspect vehicle.

The suspect led deputies on a chase and the vehicle hit two cars while being pursued by deputies.

Sheriff Marceno said a deputy pitted the suspect's vehicle to end the chase.

Locations where deputies responded:

  • 4800 28th Street Southwest
  • 4800 27th Street Southwest
  • 1400 Fred Avenue
  • Gerald Avenue and 3rd Street West

Deputies responded to at least four different crime scenes and they believe they are all connected at this time.
