NORTH NAPLES, Fla — A Collier County man is accused of defrauding multiple customers in North Naples out of thousands of dollars.

Detectives arrested 31-year-old Jeremy Austin Adams.

Investigators say Adams used his position as a salesman at Rock Solid Countertops and More to steal from unsuspecting customers.

They say he added fraudulent upcharges to legitimate high-end granite sales transactions.

To hide the charges within the company accounting system, investigators say he created altered invoices.

They also say he accepted cash and used his credit card swiping device.

Adams is also accused of using company paperwork to submit and create fake invoices and forging customers' signatures.

According to the arrest report, Adams stole from seven customers and pocketed more than $7,431 for his gain.

He is charged with grand theft, scheme to defraud, and fraudulent use of identification of another.
