FORT MYERS, Fla. - A man pulled over on I-75 for following too closely ending up in jail, deputies say they found several illegal items in the car he was driving.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office Highway Interdiction Unit stopping 23-year-old Eric Sedore Wednesday near mile marker 144.
Officials say during the course of the traffic stop, probable cause was established to search the vehicle.
The search turning up an illegal credit-card encoder/reader and several fraudulent credit cards and gift cards were located. Also seized was $4,600 dollars that was obtained from the fraudulent use of the credit cards.
They say Sedore, from Queens, New York, was victimizing numerous individuals and retailers throughout South Florida from Miami to Ft. Myers.
At the conclusion of the investigation, Eric Sedore was subsequently charged with Possession of two or more Counterfeited Credit Cards, Marijuana Possession not more than 20 grams, and Fraudulent Illegal use of Credit Cards.
