A Naples man is accused of stealing gas out of a fuel tank and pumping it inside a container.
The owner of the fuel tank told Deputies that he was checking on his construction site located on Collier Blvd when he observed a grey Dodge truck parked nearby.
When he got closer he saw 40-year-old Samuel Schmitt pumping fuel from one of his tanks into a container located in the back of his truck, the Collier County Sheriff's Office said.
Schmitt then jumped into his truck and took off but the victim was able to follow him all the way to Pelican Larry's.
When Deputies arrived the victim was able to point out the suspect.
Schmitt was arrested and charged with Grand Theft.
