NORTH PORT, Fla. — A North Port man was arrested Wednesday after authorities discovered an illegal tattoo room in his home, along with narcotics.

North Port Police Department says an anonymous tip led them to the home of Matthew Neil Clemens.

While at the home, officers found an illegal tattoo room, cocaine, cannabis, and prescription pills.

the North Port Police Department says they partnered with the Health Department who determined that some of the evidence inside of the home was a safety concern.

"Particularly the needles and the bio-hazard. The way they were disposing of them and leaving them pretty much out in the open," said Capt. Scott King, from the North Port Police Department. "The biggest part is you don't know what they have if they're clean if they're following code."

Clemens is out on bond but officials say this is an ongoing investigation.
