IMMOKALEE, Fla. — The Collier County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man today in the March shooting death of a man in Immokalee.
On March 13th, deputies responded to a report of shots fired in the 1900 block of Alexander Circle.
Deputies found the 36-year-old victim sprawled in a parking lot with fatal gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witness statements and evidence led detectives to develop Herrera as a suspect.
Herrera and the victim were known to each other.
A family dispute led to the shooting, detectives said.
Gonzalo Herrera, 38, is charged with second-degree murder.
