IMMOKALEE, Fla. — The Collier County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man today in the March shooting death of a man in Immokalee.

On March 13th, deputies responded to a report of shots fired in the 1900 block of Alexander Circle.

Deputies found the 36-year-old victim sprawled in a parking lot with fatal gunshot wounds.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witness statements and evidence led detectives to develop Herrera as a suspect.

Herrera and the victim were known to each other.

A family dispute led to the shooting, detectives said.

Gonzalo Herrera, 38, is charged with second-degree murder.

A mugshot will be provided once available.
