Man arrested on multiple drug and weapons charges Charlotte County

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — Charlotte County Deputies noticed a man parked on the side of a Sunnydell Plaza in Port Charlotte.

When Deputies approached the vehicle, Seth Smith, 33, explained he was waiting to pay his girlfriend's bond.

Deputies noticed a strong Marijuana odor coming from Smith.

Deputies decided to search Smith and located an eyeglass case in his pocket. The case contained a baggie with a white powdery substance.

The powder tested positive for Cocaine and Fentanyl. Deputies also discovered another baggie filled with the same substance.

A large quantity of money was found wrapped in a rubbing band in Smith's other pocket.

Deputies began to search Smith's vehicle and found two loaded guns, additional bags of Cocaine and Fentanyl, THC oil, LSD, MDMA, and Marijuana.

Smith received several charges, including Trafficking in Fentanyl 4 Grams or More. Possession of Controlled Substance without Prescription Crack /Cocaine, THC Oil, MDMA Pill. Possession of Marijuana. Possession of Firearm Ammunition or Weapon by Florida Convicted Felon and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
