Man attempts to lure child into car in North Fort Myers

NORTH FORT MYERS,  FLA. -- The Lee County Sheriff's Office is conducting an investigation regarding a male who they say attempted to lure a child into a vehicle in the Bay Point Yacht and Racquet Club community in North Fort Myers.

It happened Tuesday evening. 

The male was described as being a dark skinned Hispanic or Black Male, 5’10”, medium build, with short hair, wearing a white beanie style knit hat with a gray dot pattern. The male was wearing a dark colored jacket, dark pants, and a thick silver chain with a large cross. The male also had a silver hoop piercing in his bottom lip.

The vehicle was described an older, dirty, four door sedan, with shiny chrome wheels with a black circular pattern on them. The vehicle was believed to be black or dark blue in color with damage around the right rear taillight and license plate area. The same taillight on the vehicle was reportedly burnt out and inoperable. The vehicle had an unknown tag and was last seen traveling towards Bayshore Road on Bay Point Boulevard at approximately 8:00 p.m.

Anyone with information on the vehicle or possible suspect is asked to call the Lee County Sheriff's Office.
