A North Fort Myers man celebrated his 20th birthday today during his fundraiser at Bayshore Billards, after he was brutally beaten at a house party in Cape Coral three weeks ago.
Tanner Mounce, alongside family and friends, sold raffle tickets and collected donations, in hopes of raising money to help cover some of his medical costs.
Mounce was attacked by several boys while attending a house party in Cape Coral, leaving his jaw broken in two places. His mouth is now wired shut.
"I just remember that all of them were saying it was me. And I was like, 'No, it wasn't me' and that's all I remember. That was it," said Mounce.
His mother, Paula Mounce, is thankful her son is alive, but still lives with the horror from a few weeks ago.
"It's horrible. It's gut wrenching. And I still get sick to my stomach," said Mounce's mother, Paula.
