NAPLES, Fla. — One person is dead, one injured and another is in jail after a fight at Rusty's in Naples. Collier County Deputies were called to the restaurant at 9:40 p.m. on March 12.
Deputies say two people got into a fight and a third tried to calm things down. All three ended up with gun shot wounds. Deputies tell us the person who tried to intervene died at the hospital. Deputies have not yet released the person's name.
Jason Ortiz is now charged with second degree murder. Emergency responders took him to Lee Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries. He was later taken to the Lee County Jail where he is being held on a $200,000 bond.
We are still working with Collier County deputies to learn more about what caused the fight and if the other person involved could face any criminal charges.
