Man found guilty of Second Degree Murder and Attempted Second Degree Murder in Lehigh Acres

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. — Kerome Brown, 26, was found guilty of Second Degree Murder, two counts of Attempted Second Degree Murder, Shooting at, within, or into an Occupied Vehicle, and Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Law Enforcement Officer at High Speed or Wanton Disregard.

In 2018 Brown shot and killed a man and shot and injured a woman after he got into an argument with her. The woman had an 11-month-old child with her at the time of the shooting who suffered minor lacerations.

Brown then sped away from deputies, and after a 6-minute, chase, deputies were able to stop his vehicle with a PIT maneuver.

Sentencing for Brown will be on December 16th.
