LEE COUNTY, Fla. — A 32-year-old man is dead after being hit by two vehicles on the westbound lanes of State Road 739 around 11:30 Saturday night, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Officials say the man was trying to cross the westbound lanes of State Road 739 when he was hit by a vehicle traveling southbound. A second vehicle traveling southbound also hit the man.
The first vehicle came to a controlled stop on State Road 739 while the second vehicle kept traveling and was later located at a Fort Myer's residence, officials said.
The man came to a stop within the travel lanes of State Road 739, according to FHP.
The crash is under investigation.
