Man injured by gunfire in Fort Myers shopping center

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Police say they're investigating a gunfire incident that left one man wounded early Monday morning.

According to Fort Myers Police, officers responded to the 3600 block of Evans Avenue around 3 a.m. 

Officers there were informed that a gunshot victim had driven himself to Lee Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say a person of interest is being questioned.

They say there is no danger to the general public.
