NAPLES, Fla. — A charged with the death of a 28-year-old woman in the parking lot of Lely High School has been sentenced.
The victim was attending level one Adult English night classes at Lely High School in December.

That’s when Two witnesses witnessed Jose Alfredo Avila Pena, 50, walk from behind a vehicle and begin shooting.
Through an investigation, detectives were able to obtain security footage of the events that place the Pena at the scene. He was placed under arrest.
Pena was sentenced to life in prison. Pena pled no contest to one count of Second Degree Murder with a Firearm.
