Man stopped for no lights on bicycle found with drugs in Hendry County

HENDRY COUNTY, Fla. — Clewiston police stopped a man riding a bicycle with no lights.

As deputies spoke with Darrius Kymante Saxton, 23, they noticed him beginning to shake and balling his fist.

Deputies asked Saxton if he would consent to a search of a bag he was wearing, and Saxton agreed to the search.

During the search, deputies discovered two plastic baggies. The first baggy contained a loose, brown substance. The other bag included four pre-packaged small bags of the previous substance.

A field-tested with a department-issued test kit and the results tested positive for MDMA (“Molly”).

Saxton also had an active arrest warrant for Contempt of Court.

Saxton was then transported to the Hendry County Jail where he was booked and charged with Sale, manufacture, or Delivering Schedule I or Schedule II drug, Possession of Narcotic Equipment Sale of Synthetic Narcotics, Obstruction without Violence.
