UPDATE (9:43 pm)-- A man who is accused of inappropriately touching five women in a vulgar man has been identified.
Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers says Dominic Sforza, 23, was arrested and charged with three counts of battery.
The victims were able to identify Sforza as their attacker.
Further charges could be forthcoming.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office says the man they believe was going around touching women inappropriately in different parking lots across Central and Southern Lee County is in custody.
According to Crime Stoppers, the suspect touched five women in a vulgar manner as they were walking to their cars.
"He's going up to them. He's touching them very inappropriately. It's very disturbing what he is doing," said Trish Routte, Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers Coordinator.
The first reported incident was at the Dollar Tree on Tamiami Trial in Fort Myers last Monday.
Detectives say the suspect followed a woman around the store and as she was walking to her car he approached her and touched her between the legs.
Routte says the man was not targeting a particular area or a particular type of woman.
Detectives say the incidents happened at the parking lots of the Dollar Tree of Tamiami Trial, the Publix on Daniels Parkway, a McDonald's near FGCU, and two other undisclosed locations.
"It's been a horrible thing for them. Can you imagine somebody just coming up to you and touching you like that and leaving. It's sick what this guy is doing," said Routte.
Detectives say after speaking with the victims and showing them the surveillance pictures of the man, all the victims said he was the guy that had touched them.
Routte says they were women that were just going about their business in retail stores, grocery stores, and fast food stores when then this guy came out of no where and touched them.
The man is in custody tonight being questioned.
