NAPLES, Fla. — Recently an independent law firm released a report and found no wrong doing at Mason Classical Academy after several allegations were made against the school by a former parent and member of the board of directors.
Now the school has filed a lawsuit against the former parent saying the suit was damaging to the school's reputation.
Kelly Litcher the president and founder of the school explains since the report came out proving their innocence the Collier County School District has been quiet.
“Since that Coleman report has been released we have yet to hear from the district of any substance regarding the Coleman report,” said Kelly Litcher.
She says the school district continues to violate settlement agreements negotiated in mediation and has been harassing the school
“They continue to send letters I think ultimately they have spent a considerable amount of money, they ultimately want to terminate the number 1 performing school in collier county, number 1 public school in Collier, I think they are relentless and I don’t think they are going to stop, said” Litcher.
Litcher claiming the school district has spent a lot of money on this investigation and believes it has to do with a lot of personal vendettas.
“I think all the students on collier county were better served if the money and resources were educating kids versus personal agendas and political differences, “ said Litcher.
Litcher stressing that her staff and families that attend the school just want to uncover the truth and expose those who are trying to destroy their reputation.
