FORT MYERS, Fla. — Meet Linda Lee and Koby as Fox 4's Pets of the Week at Gulf Coast Humane Society in Fort Myers.
These furry friends are up for adoption soon at Gulf Coast Humane Society in Fort Myers.
Linda Lee was the 4-year-old terrier mix featured in the 7 o'clock show.
Koby was the 2-year-old wire hair fox terrier mix featured in the 8 o'clock show.
This morning, GCHS also discussed the importance of having an emergency pet bag ready for hurricane season.
Some of the items they suggest packing is medication, comfort items, a secure harness, and at least a week's worth of dry and wet food.
Most importantly, don't forget to pack their carrier and vaccination records. They say both items will likely be required to stay at a local storm shelter with your pet.
If storm anxiety is a concern, GCHS suggests buying a thunder vest for calming.
Lastly, they say make sure your pet is microchipped and the contact information is up to date.
