CAPE CORAL, Fla. - A procession - complete with a motorcycle escort - took over the streets of Cape Coral where tow truck drivers from all over came to honor one of their own.
Wes Dale - a well-respected and well-like tow truck driver - was recently killed on the job.
Horns honked in tribute to Dale. 4 in Your Corner featured Dale in a story about the industry eight years ago.
Known for his expertise, Dale died in a freak accident on Pine Island Road last month. He was crushed by the weight of the truck he was trying to load.
The tribute was met with smiles and tears from people who knew Dale personally - including his daughter - who said she is very grateful for the love and support.
The procession started at the funeral home and ended at Dixie Road House
Dale was 54 years old.
His friends and family ask you to keep in mind just how dangerous towing is.
