LEE COUNTY, Fla. — A Miami man was sentenced to 82 months in prison, followed by 24 months of State probation for one count of Scheme to Defraud.
Mark Patsones, 58, committed his crimes over three weeks.
Patsones told a woman he met on a dating website that had trouble with his vehicle. Patsones was given money, and in return, Patsones gave her a check.
Patsones scammed several other businesses out of money. In each of those cases, the business went to cash the checks, but there were insufficient funds.
Patsones was just released from prison in 2017 for the fraudulent use of a credit card in another part of Florida.
