COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- Football legend Mike Ditka is in the hospital after a second heart attack.
The Miami Herald reports Dikta suffered the heart attack while playing golf in Naples. He's owned a home there for several years.
Ditka's agent tells ESPN that doctors inserted a pacemaker. He says the 79-year-old Ditka "is doing much better," and the iconic coach "appreciates the outpouring of support and expects to be home soon."
Ditka previously suffered a mild heart attack in 1988.
He was the first tight end ever inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and was the head coach of the 1985 Chicago Bears Super Bowl champions.
