CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. -- The Military Heritage Museum in Punta Gorda is celebrating the milestone anniversary of the moon landing with a special event.
On Saturday, they will air a documentary and show actual footage of the moon landing. That starts at noon and three in the afternoon.
But the museum opens at 10 a.m., and all day they have a lineup of things to do, like a flight simulator to fly a NASA fighter jet or the Space Shuttle Atlantis.
You can even take a virtual reality trip to the moon.
The Military Heritage Museum is located in Fisherman’s Village at 900 West Marion Avenue in Punta Gorda.
