COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- Troopers say a Naples motorcyclist died Friday night when a pickup truck made a U-turn in front if him.
It happened on Collier Boulevard just before 10 p.m. Friday.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, 57-year-old James Galarza was riding a motorcycle southbound on Collier Boulevard when a northbound pickup truck driven by 27-year-old Jacob Siegert of Naples made a U-turn into the southbound lanes, into the path of Galarza.
The motorcycle crashed into the right rear of the truck.
Galarza, who was not wearing a helmet at the time, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by FHP.
