FORT MYERS, Fla. — Two people are safe tonight after their boat capsized yesterday afternoon.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office received a call about an overturned vessel in the area of Mullock Creek and Estero Bay.
Dispatch was only able to hear muffled noises and screaming in the background.
Lee County Aviation, Marine Units, Bonita Springs Fire Rescue, and the Coast Guard responded to the area.
Aviation deputies saw two people clinging onto a sinking vessel.
They were rescued and transported to a nearby boat ramp.
