Deputies are investigating a crash involving a school bus and a truck in the San Carlos Park area.
It happened at the intersection of US 41 and Elwood Road shortly after 5 p.m.
Multiple people have been transported to hospitals with minor injuries, the Lee County Sheriff's Office said.
At this time it is unclear if any students were injured or if any children were on the school bus during the time of the crash.
The middle and right lane on northbound US 41 will be shut down in front of Woodsmoke Camping Resort for the next several hours.
Motorists are asked to seek alternate routes.
