NAPLES, Fla. - Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens will be extending the Penguins in Paradise exhibit for two weeks due to popular demand.
The exhibit - featuring endangered African penguins - was slated to run through April 15, but will now stay open through April 29, the zoo's marketing director said in a news release. It is included in regular zoo admission.
African penguins are native to South Africa. They are classified as "Endangered" mainly due to overfishing of their food and oil spills.
