NORTH FORT MYERS, FLA. — A fire that broke out in a North Fort Myers mobile home community Tuesday, is still under investigation.

It all started around 5 p.m. at the Buccaneer Estates community.

The North Fort Myers fire department says the home has been completely destroyed, and the blaze also damaged the home next door.

Fox 4 spoke with a neighbor who says a couple lived inside that home and she says they didn't make it out.

"There are people who have died that were in the home," said Marjorie Mathers.

The North Fort Myers fire department says they can't confirm this yet, because the case is still under investigation.

The cause of the fire has not been released.

The Lee County Sheriff's office and State Fire Marshal's office are also working this case.
