New details emerge in Lois Riess case

LEE COUNTY, Fla. - New details have emerged in the case against suspected killer, Lois Riess.

After looking through arrest warrants, Fox 4 uncovered information about the death of Fort Myers tourist, Pamela Hutchinson. 

According to the warrants, Hutchinson's body was discovered in a bathroom in her condo, with a gunshot wound to her chest. 

According to documents, Hutchinson's body was covered with a towel and had already began decomposing. 

The documents also said another towel was appeared to be shoved under the door. 

Investigators say surveillance video shows Riess leaving the condo, crying in the hallway, then returning to the room. 

They say she then spent the night in the condo with Hutchinson's body. 

Investigators believe Riess pretended to Hutchinson the next day, and extended her stay.

Investigators say she withdrew $5,000 from Hutchinson's bank account, and drove her car to Ocala Hotel. 

They say she ordered room service twice with the victim's credit card, then withdrew cash three more times from Hutchinson's account. 

Lois Riess is accused of murdering her husband in Minnesota, then going to Fort Myers to kill Pamela Hutchinson in order to steal her identity. 

After a nationwide manhunt, Riess was arrested in Texas, then taken to Lee CountySaturday, April 28th. 

Riess is currently being held on no bond. 

She is due back in court May 29th.
