New management brings Cape golf course back to life

A Cape Coral golf course that closed in 2016 is slowly coming back to life.

The Royal Tee Golf Club at Cape Royal shut down in 2016 and the homeowners in the Cape Royal community purchased the course in 2017 to ensure its survival.

Green Golf Partners, based in Indiana, is now managing the course and has re-opened nine holes to residents as it works to re-condition the rest of the 27 hole layout.  A driving range is now open to the public and a restaurant is in the works.

A message on the club's answering service indicated the goal is to re-open the entire facility and restaurant to the public by Labor Day.

Green Golf Partners is in the process of hiring staff to bring the facility back into playing shape and the course has been re-named as the Cape Royal Golf Club.
