UPDATE (12/24) -- North Port Police report that Katie has been found safe in Gainesville, and her adoptive parents are heading to pick her up. They thank everyone who spread the word.

NORTH PORT, Fla. -- Police are looking for a missing teenager last seen on Saturday.
According to North Port Police, 17-year-old Katie Sims was last seen at the Circle K on Grand Venture Drive. That's near the intersection of Sumter and Price boulevards.
She was caught on a surveillance camera walking to a black SUV, and a blue and white bike is missing from her home.
She may be trying to head to Jacksonville to see family.
Katie is 4’8” tall, 115lbs, short dirty blonde hair, brown eyes, last seen wearing black pants and a camouflage shirt.
