DESO COUNTY, Fla. — Currently, northeast highway 17 is closed due to a fatal crash.
Northbound lanes are shut down and southbound lanes are being rerouted until the crash is cleared.
The DeSoto County Sheriff's Office is advising drivers to find a different route and to use caution when driving through the area.
