CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. -- One person is dead after an officer-involved shooting in McDonald's parking lot Monday morning.

It happened at the restaurant on U.S. 41 just south of Kings Highway.

According to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a 911 call of a disturbance in the parking lot and arrived to find the suspect displaying a weapon.

Deputies shot the man, killing him.

No deputies were hurt in the incident.
