DeSOTO COUNTY, Fla. -- A single-vehicle crash in DeSoto County Tuesday morning killed one person and critically injured another.
It happened around 8:45 a.m. on County Road 761 near SW Nancy Road near the Fort Ogden Community.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, a Jeep SUV was headed westbound when it left the roadway and overturned into a ditch on the north side of the road.
The driver of the Jeep, a 68-year-old Arcadia woman, was critically injured and airlifted to Lee Memorial Hospital.
A male passenger in the Jeep was pronounced dead at the scene.
Neither victim's names have been released yet.
The crash remains under investigation.
