LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Troopers say an Alva man was taken to the hospital after driving off a rural road overnight in Lee County.
19-year-old Dalton Harrison was seriously injured in the crash and taken to Lee Memorial.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, it happened at 12: 56 a.m. along State Road 78/N. River Road.
Troopers say Harrison was driving westbound on N. River Road when he failed to maintain control of his car, which drove off the left side of the road onto the grassy shoulder and hit a culvert at Serenoa Court. His car overturned several times and hit a wooden fence.
Harrison is facing a charge of Careless Driving.
